winning cast of musicians and dancers perform the epic tale.

THE SPANISH GUITAR transports patrons to exotic places with video, new songs, dance and an ever-changing set. Benise’s new show features his guitar as protagonist, as it becomes the keeper of glory and tragedy through times and world’s gone by.

An opening video sets up the story of Benise’s lost love and the Gypsy craftsman who’s mysterious workings create a guitar that can transport Benise to the far ends of the world (Old Havana, the Arabian desert, Venice, Spain and India) and also through time on his quest of passion.

The enchanted Spanish Guitar becomes a treasure chest of inspiration and propels Benise into his roll as troubadour for the ages. His masterful playing speaks ardently for anyone who has ever lost something dear to them. Brilliantly choreographed dance numbers and orchestral pieces accompany the stories that were sealed inside this magical instrument.

The Spanish Guitar includes traditional flamenco dancers, Broadway dancers, soloists, breathtaking couture fashion and the unparalleled beauty of Benise female dancers, The Gitana’s, who give Spanish dance a luminous makeover.

We were informed that guest artists would include, Dave Koz, Giorgia Fumanti, Kimberly Locke, Dancing With The Stars couple Nick and Lena. The band includes World music favorites – Karen Briggs (Yanni) and Walter Rodriqez (Yanni, Stomp). This may not be the case.  We are attempting to confirm that.

Benise’s The Spanish Guitar take us to worlds both faraway and deeply personal, and reminds us that hope is the healing thread in all of our lives.
