An original juxtaposition of dramatic movement, classical singing and vigorous dance.

Starring a cast of professional singers and dancers from the United States and Europe, Shining A New Light on the Arts is an amalgam of cutting-edge classical and contemporary arts that is stirring and boldly entertaining. The original production, conceived and directed in-part by mezzo-soprano Natalie Bancroft (Jackie Spencer’s granddaughter) is chock-full of imagination.

The two-act performance features an elaborate counterpoint of music, song and dance in thematic vignettes. Each piece incorporates soaring classical vocals with moving emotional content that is matched by lyrical and furiously spirited dance. Together, the works convey the triumphs and agonies of life.

Theatrically compelling, with classical movement broadening out into hip contemporary dance and music visualization, Shining A New Light on the Arts is a sculptural and striking blend of song and dance not soon to be forgotten!
