Sat Jun 14 at 8 p.m.
Many artists bring their art form to the stage.
True performers ignite their art with a passion, a gravitas. They are showmen that set the audience on fire during
a live concert.
Such an artist is guitarist Estéban.
He doesn’t so much have fans, as he does followers...seekers of his stylized blends of neo-classical and contemporary flamenco and Afro-Cuban jazz-fusion.
A master guitarist (once a student of Andrés Segovia) and arranger, Estéban and his talented group take tunes like John Fogerty’s Brown Eyed Girl, John Newton’s Amazing Grace, John Lennon’s Eleanor Rigby, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oscar Hammerstein’s Edelweiss and Chip Taylor’s Angel In The Morning and reinvent them with sizzling vibrancy.
During the last decade he became a chart-topper after independently releasing By Request and Flame Flamenco & Romance. He has developed a guitar-teaching program, along with his own American Legacy guitar line.
In July of last year his Best of Estéban CD (his 24th) rose to the top of the Billboard New Age Album charts.
This will be Estéban’s third performance at the Spencer.
