![]() If your interest is history from the era of Billy the Kid, try the ghost town art colony site of whiteoaksnewmexico.com. The Miner's Home Museum is open their daily during the summer, and the Schoolhouse Museum from 10-5 on Saturday, and noon-4 on Sundays. The first governor of New Mexico is buried in the Cedarvale Cemetery in White Oaks as well as Susan McSween (of Lincoln County Wars fame), and James W. Bell, one fo the deputy sheriffs killed by Billy when he escaped from the Lincoln County Courthouse in 1881. |
