The 514-seat Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts offers a unique and intimate performance space, a space whose size is at once its grandest asset, and its most confining reality in terms of income potential.  Currently when a patron buys a ticket to an event at the Spencer he (or she) is paying less than one-third of the actual cost of that show.  A $45 ticket would actually cost over $130 if it weren’t for contributions from the theater’s major benefactors, our Spencer Circle donors, and income from other sources including corporate sponsorships and interest from the Spencer Endowment for the Arts fund.  The Spencer Circle is the theater's contributor base. As a non-profit organization we depend upon contributions in order to assist in assuring high quality programming and to maintain the theater and its grounds.
